ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team and produce quality food in a modern, purpose-built kitchen.

Reporting to the Hospitality Services Manager, this role will see you providing high quality meals for our residents and providing direction to our kitchen team to ensure our residents receive nutritious, well presented, delicious food and a positive dining experience.

This is a casual role "as and when required" including Dayshifts and weekends. 

 KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You will ideally be a qualified chef or someone with substantial experience in a commercial kitchen and confidence cooking in large quantities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can produce quality, appetizing food at high quantities;
  • Enjoys using their creativity to present visually appealing meals, regardless of dietary requirements;
  • Can maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment;
  • Can use their excellent leadership and communication skills to support the effective running of our kitchen.
  • Takes pride in providing superior customer service and has patience and empathy with our elderly residents;
  • Remains calm under pressure and works well within a team environment.
