Cleaners/ Laundry Assistants - Casual

The Napier District Masonic Trust is proud to have assisted the aged in our community for the past 60 years and will continue to plan and provide housing and care for our elderly in the coming years. We have an excellent reputation for providing quality residential aged care and affordable retirement village accommodation. We believe every elderly person has a right to a place they can call home regardless of age, stage, means or needs. We are a community built on love, respect and care for our residents, their families and each other.

We currently have casual cleaning and laundry positions available at our aged care facilities in Taradale and Napier. This could be a great opportunity for a mature student or someone looking for flexible casual work. We have a variety of shifts available both weekends and weekdays.  Roles may lead to permanent positions in the future.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To thrive in our friendly and supportive environment and provide quality and consistent care to residents we are looking for someone with:

• Experience in cleaning and laundry services at residential facilities (preferred, however full training will be given);
• Empathy and patience with elderly residents;
• Outstanding communication skills;
• A friendly and professional manner;
• A strong and reliable work ethic;
• The ability to work in New Zealand (NZ residency or a valid work permit).

Full training including a supportive and tailored orientation programme to suit individual needs will be provided.
