About Our Role
We're looking for a friendly and caring Dining Assistant to join our kitchen team and help create an exceptional dining experience for our residents.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving breakfast for residents, delivering meals and refreshments, and ensuring dining areas are presented to a consistently high standard. A key part of this role involves preparing the dining room for lunch service, ensuring tables, place settings, and presentation reflect the high standards of hospitality we strive to provide. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in presentation, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver meals and refreshments to residents, ensuring dietary requirements and meal preferences are met.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining clean, welcoming dining and food service areas.
- Follow food safety, infection control, and health and safety requirements at all times.
- Build positive relationships with residents, whānau, and colleagues, contributing to a warm and respectful environment.
About You
You are a reliable and compassionate individual who enjoys working with older people and takes pride in helping create a positive experience for those in your care. Whether you have previous experience in hospitality, aged care, healthcare, or a similar customer-focused environment, you understand the important role mealtimes play in residents' wellbeing and quality of life.
You are organised, attentive to detail, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment. You communicate confidently with a wide range of people and enjoy creating positive experiences through your friendly and approachable manner.
Most importantly, you bring patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to ensuring residents feel valued, respected, and cared for.
