About Our Role
In this role, you will play an important part in preparing our dining room for dinner service, ensuring tables and dining areas are presented to a consistently high standard. With a focus on attention to detail and hospitality, you will help create a welcoming environment that reflects the quality dining experience we strive to provide for our residents.
You will also support the kitchen team by completing dishwashing duties, maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas, and ensuring the kitchen is well-prepared and ready for the chefs the following day.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in presentation, enjoys working as part of a team, and values contributing to the wellbeing and enjoyment of older people.
This is a permanent part-time position working 16 hours per week, Friday to Monday (inclusive), 4:00pm to 8:00pm. There may also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present dining areas to a high standard, creating an exceptional dining experience for residents.
- Complete dishwashing and kitchen cleaning duties, ensuring high standards of hygiene and organisation.
- Maintain clean and safe kitchen and dining environments, including floor cleaning and end-of-service tasks.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, whānau, and colleagues, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

You are a reliable and hardworking team player who takes pride in doing a job well. Whether you have previous experience in a commercial kitchen, hospitality setting, aged care, or healthcare environment, you understand the important role hospitality services play in residents' daily lives.
